All? Does it Really Say All? !!

 Ephesians 6:16 says that if you have clothed yourself with the "shield of faith" you will be able to extinguish all the flaming arrows (or fiery darts) of the evil one...  All.

My friend, have you ever felt that you had your armor on - and the flaming arrows of the evil one were still getting through?  

I think that we have each felt that way at one time or another.  Discouragement and doubt are key weapons used by our enemies, both spiritual and physical. 

Consider this though... Daniel continued to honor God even when he was told not to.  It must have seemed one of the fiery darts had made it through his armor when he was thrown to the lions... Shadrack, Meshack & Abednego had to wonder, as they were being hurled into the fiery furnace...  It may have seemed to Joseph that those flaming arrows were getting through when Pharaoh threw him into prison for a crime he didn't commit.  And again when the cup bearer 'forgot' about him...

Here's the skinny ~ cloth yourself my friend, with the Helmet of Salvation, the Breastplate of Righteousness, the Belt of Truth, the Shield of Faith, the Sword of the Spirit and Feet fit with Readiness!  Know that no matter what comes or what tactics the enemy uses YOU ARE A CHILD OF GOD!  As such, we are promised that for those that love and honor Him, all things work together for good according to His purpose...  All.

I know from experience that it may be hard to believe; especially when you are being escorted to the den of lions; but friend, it's true.   Keep wearing that armor ~ when your good works infuriate someone they are experiencing hot coals(proverbs 25:22) being heaped upon them.  I parallel this to Joseph's statement (yes! the same Joseph thrown in prison above!)  "What you intended against me for evil, God intended for good."

Before you get too wound up about it... I do realize that not until the new testament was the armor of God fully named. BUT - Did you know Isaiah alluded to it in Chapter 59 verse 17?   

Stay hopeful my friend.  The enemy comes to steal, kill and destroy, but Jesus has conquered the entire world - that includes every - EVERY - fiery dart. The enemy wants to disarm you, discourage you... Keep your armor on and know HE ~ God Almighty ~ JESUS CHRIST HIMSELF, will never leave or forsake you!!!  Deuteronomy 31:8
